Recently, TIANS Group received a letter of commendation from Zhuhai United Laboratories Co., Ltd. The letter expressed sincere gratitude and recognition for TIANS Group’s cutting-edge and efficient BIM design capabilities, scientific and mature project implementation abilities, and its construction capability of “Exceeding Customer Expectations” in the “Zhuhai United Laboratories Gaolan Port Production Base Project” (hereinafter referred to as the “Zhuhai United Project”).

Founded in 1993, Zhuhai United Laboratories Co., Ltd. is primarily engaged in the research, development, and production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and formulated products. Its product portfolio includes over 50 varieties across series such as insulin, cephalosporins, clarithromycin, and penems. The annual production capacity of its oral semi-synthetic penicillin workshop exceeds 5,000 tons, and its “Golden Swallow” and “Silver Swallow” brand products in the cephalosporin and clarithromycin series each have an annual capacity of approximately 1,000 tons. The company operates a large-scale insulin production base and is currently the only enterprise in China using genetically engineered Pichia pastoris expression technology to produce insulin products. It is also the first domestic company to possess production capabilities for both second-generation and third-generation insulin. To meet the growing demand for production scale and to build a more automated and intelligent factory to high standards, United Laboratories invested in establishing a new production base at Zhuhai Gaolan Port. The project has a total investment of approximately 1.2 billion rmb, covers an area of 180 acres, and is expected to achieve an annual output value of about 2.5 billion yuan upon reaching full capacity. As the construction service provider for this project, TIANS Group provided services including wastewater treatment EPC engineering, electromechanical installation for the 201 production workshop, and automation engineering. Upon completion, the project will help extend the upstream industrial chain of Zhuhai United Laboratories, significantly enrich its product variety, and promote the optimization of its pharmaceutical industrial structure.

As an engineering design group empowering the industrialization of new technologies, TIANS Group fully leveraged its dual-driven “Design + BIM” model, organizing a professional BIM team to conduct systematic secondary optimization of equipment layout drawings, steel structures, main pipeline routing, and the installation positions and heights of valve groups. This not only involved reasonable adjustments to the reactor platform and the routing and height of main pipelines but also, through visualization on the construction site, enabled construction personnel to intuitively understand the design scheme and intent, thereby greatly enhancing project management capability and communication efficiency. Furthermore, the TIANS Group BIM team utilized FUZOR software to conduct on-site operation simulations for the client, deepening the client's understanding of the project space and significantly improving communication efficiency between both parties, which in turn notably increased construction efficiency and project quality.

02 Digital Empowerment, Lean Production
The digitization and intelligence of pharmaceutical factories determine future enterprise competitiveness. The Zhuhai United Project employs the latest ET200 PA smart + series control modules from Siemens, which not only enable high-precision signal acquisition and superior communication protocols but also effectively mitigate the risk of obsolescence due to short-term technological iterations. As process automation experts in the pharmaceutical industry, the TIANS Automation and Informatization team, considering the client's own usage habits, promptly organized process technicians after winning the bid to systematically optimize the automation system, production, and control logic. Relying on its accumulated mature control experience, the team designed targeted solutions to avoid potential risks. Additionally, the implementation of the automation system strictly adhered to validation standards. Therefore, during the design and implementation phases, key validation elements were comprehensively considered to ensure the system's reliability and consistency throughout its lifecycle. For example, by equipping PH servers and ensuring all operational steps were meticulously recorded and reviewed, this rigorous approach not only enhanced system reliability and security but also significantly reduced operational risks.

TIANS Group has deep expertise in the environmental protection sector for many years, specializing in providing industrial enterprises with professional one-stop solutions covering consulting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. For the wastewater treatment project of this Zhuhai United Project, which covers an area of 15,000 m² and has a wastewater treatment capacity of 4,980 m³/d, TIANS Group, as the environmental engineering T-EPC service provider, offered comprehensive technical support across the entire process from process, design, procurement, construction to commissioning, co-creating a green future with the client. Addressing the characteristics of the project's wastewater, which has high pollutant concentrations and complex varieties, the TIANS Environmental Technology classified and collected wastewater containing characteristic pollutants and conducted efficient pre-treatment, ensuring the overall process treatment effectiveness. Simultaneously, to balance efficiency with environmental sustainability, during the process design phase, technicians fully considered investment, footprint, and operating costs, achieving mutual coordination and matching among wastewater, waste gas, and sludge treatment.
