Mainly engaged in the research of new adsorbents and catalyst materials in the field of air pollution control, which involves environmental engineering, environmental functional materials, membrane separation materials, air pollution control and prevention and control, etc., Liu has presided over many projects of National Key Research and Development Program of Ministry of Science and Technology, 973, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Tianjin Natural Science Foundation, Tianjin Ecological Environment Management Major Special Project and so on. It has won the first prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress and the gold prize of China International Patent Technology and Product Fair. In internationally renowned journals ACB, CEJ, CES, ES&T, Chem. Commun., ChemSusChem, Chem. Mater., Langmuir, Energy Environ. SCI, Liu has published more than 100 papers and is committed to the research and development of new environmental catalysis and environmental functional materials.
