Dr Tu Xueyan, born in 1963, serves as the Professor of Yunnan University, visiting scholar of Ottawa University and Laval University, technical director of Yunnan Engineering Technology Center for Heavy Metal Treatment, and chief expert of wastewater project of Guiyan group. Tu is mainly committed to the research and application of heavy metal pollution prevention, green production and ecological restoration, treatment of high concentration organic wastewater, etc.
The major technical achievements in the past five years include: low temperature and high efficiency desorption technology of arsenic and mercury waste, complex acid polymetallic wastewater treatment technology, low temperature ammonia-free denitration catalyst and process, incineration process and equipment of self-excitation type II anhydrous gypsum, treatment technology and equipment based on MVR Two-phase Catalytic wastewater, green technology and comprehensive utilization of complex refractory gold mine.
The major scientific research projects presided over include: the high-tech industrialization promotion project of the National Planning Commission "Industrialization Promotion of High Concentration Organic Wastewater Treatment Technology (CWOP) Special Catalyst and Complete Equipment", the National Heavy Metal special research "New Technology Research on Zero Discharge of Complex Acid Wastewater" and "Low Temperature and High Efficiency Removal Technology Research of Complex Materials with Mercury and Arsenic", the central heavy metal pollution prevention and control project "Demonstration Project of High Efficiency Treatment Technology of Arsenic and Mercury Waste", the key project of the tenth five year industrial project of Yunnan Province "CWOP Core Technology - New High Efficiency Catalyst Research", and the natural fund project of Yunnan Province "Research on the Treatment of High Concentration Organic Wastewater by Hydrothermal Catalytic Oxidation", and the project of "Research on Catalytic Liquefaction Technology of Biomass Cellulose" and "Comprehensive Recovery and Utilization of Valuable Elements in Complex Materials of Polymetallic".
The invention patents include: the High Efficiency Photocatalytic Reactor and Manufacturing Method, the Method and Device for High Concentration Organic Wastewater Treatment by Hydrothermal Catalytic Oxidation, the Thermal Analysis Device for Mercury and Arsenic Pollutants, and the Low Temperature Selective Reduction Catalyst, Manufacturing Methods and Application Technologies for Ammonia-free Nitrogen Oxide.
